Howdy, gents. Recently came across a very cheap jacket (that fit me surprisingly well) with the following pattern:

However, I'm having a very hard time of deciding what to wear with it. I come to humbly ask you for your opinion regarding other articles of clothing with which to match it (material, color, etc).
Any and all input appreciated!

Just about anything...

Solid colors such as navy, gray, green, etc.

Neat patterned ties...stripes that are not wildly colored...

Sincerely appreciate your reply.

I've tried it with most of my pants and shirts, but it always seems a bit too disjointed. If the black in the jacket were a navy, I think there'd be better balance. However, since it's black I feel like everything I've worn with it hasn't really been harmonious. I feel like I'm rambling and not making sense...does that make sense?

Couldn't tell that its black. It does complicate it some but it should still look fine with trousers of just about any mid-dark gray hue...and you can probably still get away with a lot of the other colors.

A white shirt, knitted black tie and cream colored pants! That would be my get-up around this jacket. Otherwise a light blue shirt with a dark brown tie and beige pants.

Boring answer: I think mid gray flannels will work wonders. Also, bottle green or olive coloured cord trousers might work.

This is busy pattern, so I'll say wear it with solid trousers only, otherwise the whole will become eye-catching or very busy.

The cloth seems to have blue, tan, brown and green colours, so trous in these colours will suit them very well. Grey as well as grey goes with most everything.

Last week I bought a "vintage" Daks jacket, which sadly was missing one of it's buttons.
I e-mailed a few specialist button suppliers to enquire about sourcing a replacement, but then decided to contact Daks themselves.
Quick as a flash I got a reply, from Janice Heron, their "archivist".

They have some of the buttons, but as they were produced in slightly different shades of brown over the years she said she'd send me three, to replace all the front buttons.
Sure enough, the buttons arrived in the post this morning, all free of charge.
So hats off to Daks.

Off to the dry cleaners now and maybe another photo when it's pressed.
