    Orthotics and Dress Shoes Fit

I've just been prescribed orthotics for a reoccuring stress injury and I'm having problems that it makes most shoes to tight across the bridge, heal too high in the cup and for those shoes I can fit them in, distorting the leather significantly around the arch and to be honest mine don't look...

    Brogues - counsel sought

Have the Finsbury, bought in the sale a few years ago and are a good pair of shoes. I personally don't like Churches, in particular the width of the welt and so have never owned any of their shoes. Anecdotally others have said that C&J are better quality than Churches but Im in no position to...

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

TBH, I had a quick google and saw the limited offerings and uniform 11" length and thought to ask you before spending time searching more (particularly as its my wife's watch and she has a thing for your ostrich straps but doesnt have any other watch suitable for one)

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

I havent found any that are doing shorter lengths nor anything more interesting than calf or kangaroo. If you know of any the please let me know. Bunds look good on the right watch but I am not totally against Nato straps. Also with some vintage watches, namely pilots, the pin is soldered in...

Sharkskin Suit Jacket as Sport Coat ?

Certainly doesnt work to my eyes and the fact they say its "high lustre" makes it seem even more unlikely. What are you thinking of wearing it with?

Shirts that fit like the ones in this image (image included)

As above, those shirts simply don't fit. Do you have a photo of you in one of the shirts that are too baggy?

POAL: What has been the single biggest influence on the way you dress?

It started at work in that I took a big career change, nearly 13 years ago now, which moved me from being dealing with everyone on the phone to dealing with most my "customers" face to face. I had long hair which clearly hadnt stopped me getting the job but my boss took me aside after a good few...

    Chukkas Paired With Shorts?¿

As an Englishman "bucks" wtould be an abbreviation of nubuck, a type of leather that's similar in appearance to suede but made in a different way. Americans on the other hand call a blucher made from suede a buck. As usual it's two nations divided by a common language.

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

I have to say that I've not seen any leather nato straps that are (appear) lined, just the small part where is more "doubled over" than actually lined where the hardware is attached. I've seen a few promote Hodinkee straps and this is the approach they also seem to be using too.

Equus Leather - English Handstitched Bridle Leather Belts - Official Affiliate and Review Thread

None here unfortunately but another nice watch that will need a better strap in the new year. As an aside, have you ever done nato straps?

    Russell & Bromley?

R&B have changed their proposition since you bought your shoes 16 years ago unfortunately. They have significantly reduced the quality of their materials and construction methods. If you want quality or durability then Loake or Barker are better at that price point but may not be as...

MTM Dress Shirt Fit Check (before final large purchase)

Its hard to tell from a small number of photos Certainly the collar on the coloured check shirt doesnt appear to be sitting correctly. Both look to have a bit too much excess fabric assuming you are fairly fit/ not too overweight as you appear. My issue with off the shelf shirts, and basic...

    University Ball Suit Advice

My laptop screen is terrible for colour reproduction so cannot comment on the suits in particular but in general I'd rather go for a dark/midnight blue for a social event but navy for business/ interview/ court etc. So money no object, wardrobe full of suits etc then midnight blue but if you...

Need Specific Help with 'Business Casual' pants and color matching

I'm not a fan of navy trousers outside of suits and tan is ok or their lighter siblings of stone/kharki but would also add grey trousers (mid or light, not charcoal). Depending on your weather it could be flannel or something lighter weight. Shirts generally should be light colours and white...

"Next" - looking for insights/advice/etc. on brand

They are a typical, moderately conservative, high street fashion brand. Not good quality and low durability but priced accordingly - about $100-$180 for a suit including sales tax. Mainly aimed at younger people though their "business wear" is less fashion forward so has a slightly wider age...

    Organizer or Planner suggestions?

Cant help you on any brands for a new Filofax but was curious as to why you want to use a paper solution -v- a digital solution like an iPhone/ Blackberry etc? Being of an age of having to use both digital wins hands down on every level and the first time you lose a paper based file, or even...

What style of jacket is this? What material?

As you say, terrible picture but just running through online department stores they've many examples of similar jackets made of a range of materials with the only possible exception being the oversized collar that this jacket appears to have. Personally I dont think it looks like leather but...

    Identify this fabric?

As above, its a slub cotton shirt. Google the term and you'll come up with a few options but the amount of variation in the yarn can vary significantly and so some may be more subtle than your former shirt. For your desired result rather than what your shirt is I'd also suggest looking at...

    Anyone seen this site?

You really have to ask? Everything about the site says its wrong but if you want to risk giving your credit card details over an unsecure connection to an unknown party for goods they admit are shipped from outside of the UK then feel free to take a punt and there is a chance you'll be lucky...

    Secret shirtmaker in London?

Its not uncommon for London shirt makers to have a minimum order. Know a few that have used Choppin & Lodge but again they are nothing special, have a minimum order but at £180 at least its not as pricy as most the others named
