Curious as to why someone would buy the Sea-Dweller when it is unlikely that they will test the water-resistance limits of the Submariner.

I really like the dial on the James Cameron version, and you can't get something like that with the Sub. However, as an overall watch, it doesn't do much for me. I'd probably buy a Sub, and use the difference in price toward another watch.

While somewhat redundant for me personally, I think the Sea-Dweller appeals to those who want to wear a bigger and thicker watch. Plus the technology is cool.

I’ve owned three subs and a SD4K. They bored me to death, especially the Subs. This watch is just so much fun, man. I ******* love it.

Probably for the same reason i drive an SUV ( i like it). Highly unlikely that i will ever utilize it 10% of it’s potential...oh and i wear an SD when driving it.....

As I said I really like the dial on the James Cameron SD. However, for me that is the only appealing part of it. However, if you like it and are having fun with it that's all that matters. Cheers!

How Do You Feel About Pleated Trousers?

  • Love them, classic!

  • Occasionally, depending on the outfit

  • Prefer flat-front

  • Never wear them
