Interesting. What is your Brannock sizing, out of curiosity? Mine is in the realm of 10.5B/C.

I feel that it is much easier to fit boots as compared to shoes, because with shoes the heel slip problem is way worse (at least for me - the littlest amount of heel slip and your heel is out of the shoe). However, I own neither a balmoral nor a chelsea boot, so I wouldn't know about those.

I have only worn my 915 monk straps once, and it wasn't for an extended period. I *hope* I don't get discomfort from longer wearing sessions.

Sorry about the long delay in answering - I kinda missed this one.

To my shame I have to admit that I don't know my Brannock size. My regular size in dress shoes is 7.5UK. I agree with you on heel slip being a bigger issue on regular shoes as compared to boots

Would like to know this as well. I am a 9UK in Carmina Rain and a 9.5UK in Carmina Soller. Any idea on what lasts would be best for me in Yanko?

What? You wear a half sizer bigger in soller than rain? That is absolutely not the norm. If that's true, I bet you're the only member that sizes up for soller. Thinking your post was a typo and you meant to say 8.5....

Oops. My bad. I meant I wear a 9UK in Carmina Soller last and a 9.5UK in Carmina Rain last. :)

That's better :).

Withe the price increases that Carmina has implemented over the last year or two, I'm hoping that Yanko will take their spot in the $300-350 range.

The Yanko 915 seems pretty similar to the Carmina rain last. I wear a UK 10 in both and the fit is very good. The 915 seems ever so slightly larger in the instep.

The Yanko 915 seems to have a slightly narrower heel than Rain (I have a small heel slip issue on the Rain).

A slightly narrower heel and roomier instep would be perfect. How is the toebox area on the Yanko 915 last compared to the Carmina Rain last? I can't be any narrower than the Rain in the toebox area so as long as it is the same or a little bigger that would be ideal.

Hi there, i have a number of Carmina rain shoes but none in Yanko 915.

I did however tried on 915 in the shop before and have given my opinion based on that.

I hope other gents who have more in-depth experience with both shoes can provide more feedback.
