RRL Straights, 9months, 2 washes, outside under overcast skies: I will probably take these out of heavy rotation now that they've gotten to almost the perfect amount of fading. Much more wear and they'll probably start tearing and unraveling.

If you're overweight, why buy nice clothes?

soonami **** that came out of nowhere! In my defense, I used to be trimmer, but back surgery combined with rigorous coursework and lab work has taken it's toll. However, even when I was in high school and playing soccer and running track I was still never skinny--fit but always heavy-set. On...

    Slim Fit Polo

Should I buy the J. Crew polos in the same size as I buy the Washed Favorite Shirt in? Those are supposedly a slim fit also. Yes, they fit similarly for me. _________________________________________________ I've tried on APC polos before also, but they are a little pricey. When tailor-fit J...

    J Crew essential slimfit Khaki

I bought a pair on sale last weekend and I have to agree that the cut is not slim compared to denim, but with relation to most khaki chinos, they are slim enough. I cannot really imagine wearing khakis tighter than these are. Just for comparison, my tagged 33W/32L: 17.5 flat waist 12.75 thigh...

    Seven for all denim. Opinions?

anyway apc are made in macau last time i checked. is that china? Macau is officially under PRC jurisdiction, but it has a certain level of autonomy like Hong Kong and Taiwan. But really "Made in Macau" != "Made in China"

Opinions on Pure Blue Japan Jeans?

I have tried on the PBJ-005 in a 34W (normal size for most me) and I felt like those were the best fitting pair of jeans I have ever tried on. I almost bought them but I was not sure how they would fade and if I could tolerate the slubbiness/density of the denim in the muggy east coast climate...

    Your favorite sneakers?

Seriously, those shoes look like the typical Eurotrash Pumas worn by rich kids in Seven and True Religion Jeans. They are ******* sneakers why would you spend much more than $100 for sneakers. APCxNikes, John VarvatosxConverse, Marc JacobsxVans... are all high fashion and not stupidly over...

    29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 40 where's 35?

Well the inseam isn't really a big deal since you can easily get them hemmed, but I have a similar problem with not being able to find a 35W, but the way I see it, it's just motivation to lose some weight.

PSA: 15% off American Apparel with student ID / Major J.Crew Sale too

Also, don't forget to ask for the student discount. They usually don't check for ID (for those who aren't actually students) and depending on the manager, you can sometimes get the extra 10% off even when sale stuff gets the 25% discount.

Recommend Cheap Non-raw Jeans for a Newbie

I've found Earnest Sewn at some discount stores like Marshall's for ~$40 and they are made fairly nicely. I would size down 1 or 2 though, as they sized little big. The washes are subtle and tasteful. I think the Hemingway and Fulton cuts are straight But, I think that buying a pair of APC NS...

(Old) Ask a Question, Get an Answer - please ask all quick questions here

I like the fit in the whole leg of the LVC 47 501 in a 34W, but the problem is that I know they are raw and will shrink, so the questions are: Will these stretch enough after shrinkage to keep that fit? Or will a 36 shrink to fit like a raw 34W?
