Of the mainstream brands, the only one I find acceptable for guys to wear (and indeed, the one I wear daily) is Diesel.

SFAM = your girlfriend's jeans
COH = your girlfriend's jeans
R&R = your girlfriend's tacky jeans
TR = you are a date ******

I'm not the kind to rip on "mall jeans" just because I wear raw denim and think I'm so l33t or whatever, but sorry, 7FAM is complete ****.

I had 2 pairs I picked up at Nordy rack a few years ago and both the crotch blew out within just a few months, and I wasn't wearing them hard at all. One pair I took to a a tailor and they put a HUGE patch over the entire area (it was like half of a pant leg, lol) but the denim literally just disintigrated around it.

It's too bad, because they're made in America and I would like to support that (hell, even APC's are made in China) but the product is simply garbage.

+1 on Diesel being the best of the mall brands though, I have a pair of Fanker I bought 5-6 years ago which are still in great shape.

Word. The 7's I have had a crotch blowout after the 3rd wear. Never had a prob with my Diesels though. The Zathans I have are f-ing tanks/

I agree with most of the others. Not the best jeans for the $200 and up range, but there are some cute styles if you can get 'em on sale.

Yeah, it really is too bad. One of the guys in my circle of party buddies wears a lot of Sevens, and I have to tell you.. most of them are so torn up and riddled with holes that I can't believe he even wears them anymore. But you know, it's a look. If you happen to be going for it (and want to pay $170+ for said look), then by all means.. pick up a few pair. I sure won't stop anyone.

I disagree. I feel Giselle should be allowed to only wear bikinis and high heels.

I'm not sure if the quality of 7FAM denim has declined in recent times, as all three of my pairs are < 2004, but they've all lasted a long time. My pair of 7 relaxed are from 2002 and have been through over 150 wears and 10 washes and haven't needed repairs of any kind.

I still regularly buy Diesel at retail. If you want more info about Diesel cuts/washes/etc without being flamed to a crisp, PM me d00d. I'm a big fan of the striped shirt/Diesels.

As for the quality issues... SFAM is bad for some, but R&R is SO much worse. What's even more offensive is people saying "I know the quality sucks, but they're so cute!" and buying the $240 R&Rs anyway. Ugh. Cali: I'm convinced the TR back pockets are so big to facilitate hiding of GHB. Also, when O.J. Simpson was arrested recently, what was he wearing? YEP, TRs.

I like them alot! but wouldn't spent that much on them. I picked up a pair of 7FAM jeans for 80 bucks at Nordstrom Rack on sale.

Macau is officially under PRC jurisdiction, but it has a certain level of autonomy like Hong Kong and Taiwan. But really "Made in Macau" != "Made in China"

I picked up pair of sevens because they were heavily discounted. The fit is great but after not too many wears the crotch is coming apart. Lame.

If its between true religion, R&R, or sevens it would be sevens without question. There is nothing that looks dumber then those swirly TR inseams that spiral up the leg...I have noticed as of late a lot of thug moneys wearing TR and R&R all baggy and saggy like fools.
