Type B&L Ray-Ban W1307 or W1308 on eBay I think that's probably as close as it'll get.

It's called Olympian II DLX. I remember back in the day each model would have I (standard size) or II (larger size).

The RB 6519 is available via various outlets although only available in Black on the RB website.
I am interested in the history of this model.

You mean American Optical Captain America sunglasses in the movie Easy Rider with Peter Fonda. They weren't Bausch and Lomb Ray-Ban Olympians. Kinda like how James Dean never wore Levi's 501s like marketing wants you to believe, he actually wore Lee 101s.

Hi found these whilst out metal detecting today, they were a good 16 inch or so in the ground. Any idea what they are and the value? And if they're genuine or not? And what would be the best course of action to go about fixing the bent frame and broken lens. I do have the other lens, but it's cracked. Thanks all

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've read quite a lot of postings, I've used the search function, but I could't find what I was looking for. So here we go.

I use Clubmaster frames with prescription glasses as regular glasses. I've had the pair I'm wearing atm for more than 5 years, and now I feel like I should get a backup pair just in case. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure anymore for which features I should be looking.

For example: My frames have three rivets on the inside of the end piece (hope I'm using the correct terminology here), see pic 1. Other vintage B&L frames have two rivets and one screw (see pic 2). If I remember correctly, someone once told me to avoid frames with the separate screw because the plastic around the screw tends to crack more easily. Is this true?

What else is there to watch out for?

Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks a lot.

Hello, i found this forum trough Google. I have gotten my hands on a unique Ray Ban - Never Hide Ghettoblaster. Can someone tell me the worth of it? Is it a collectable item? I cant find any valueable information about this piece except for that it was a winning lottery action in the Netherlands.

I am a self proclaimed expert on Bausch and Lomb aka Vintage Ray Bans. I have a degree in Vintage Ray Ban Eyewear, if you need help or have a question this is the place to get answers. I also buy them if you have a pair or more you want to sell. Cheers.
Hi Musehead,

This might not be your area of expertise, but I am struggling to find answers and am in need of some steerage at the very least.

I have just purchased some Ray Ban 2140 Wayfarers second hand and everything looks above board except that there’s no metal in the arms. The vendor has been very supportive and responsive and says she bought these from Harrods in London.

I just wanted some peace of mind to know that such a version exists.

Thanks!

Hi eye-wear aficionados! I’m new to the forum, but not new to the interwebs, and am having trouble figuring out if these are real Signets and when they are from. I found them in a storage unit that was filled with lots of VERY vintage items, and they only say Ray-Ban across the top side of the bridge, but not on the lenses, arms, or anywhere else. They do bear the B&L imprint throughout though.

Let me know your educated thoughts on authenticity as well as value. Thanks in advance!

Could someone please help me identifying this Ray Ban model? Any information would be helpful: year, model (Aviator, Gunmaster) etc. Thanks.

I think with some smaller pics - like a stamp - we can help more...
Perhaps it may be an RB 3342 Warrior.

Any info on these vintage ray bans I picked up from a charity sale yesterday? One of the temples VERY faintly reads "B & L RAY-BAN" and the other "MADE IN CANADA". They seem to have custom purple tint prescription lenses so there is no "B&L" engraving on the lenses. Elsewhere on the frames they are marked with "125" and "4718" or "47/8" (?) near the left hinge and "02" above the right lens.
