Any info on these vintage ray bans I picked up from a charity sale yesterday? One of the temples VERY faintly reads "B & L RAY-BAN" and the other "MADE IN CANADA". They seem to have custom purple tint prescription lenses so there is no "B&L" engraving on the lenses. Elsewhere on the frames they are marked with "125" and "4718" or "47/8" (?) near the left hinge and "02" above the right lens.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've read quite a lot of postings, I've used the search function, but I could't find what I was looking for. So here we go.

I use Clubmaster frames with prescription glasses as regular glasses. I've had the pair I'm wearing atm for more than 5 years, and now I feel like I should get a backup pair just in case. Unfortunately, I'm not really sure anymore for which features I should be looking.

For example: My frames have three rivets on the inside of the end piece (hope I'm using the correct terminology here), see pic 1. Other vintage B&L frames have two rivets and one screw (see pic 2). If I remember correctly about ray-ban student discount, someone once told me to avoid frames with the separate screw because the plastic around the screw tends to crack more easily. Is this true?

What else is there to watch out for?

Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks a lot.
I picked up a couple of pairs of Ray-Ban‘s at an estate sale today been trying to do some research on them that if they were genuine or not they look good to me as far as what I’ve read. The one pair in picture three at the bottom is American optical 5 1/2 which I believe was made by Ray-Ban if I’m correct and does anybody know of any place I can take them to an Southeast Florida to have them looked at and maybe repaired

Help me!

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. Hoping that someone here might be able to shed some light on some old Ray-Ban's I found at a sale a month ago? They are Ray-Ban "ULTRA." I see a few eBay listings for stupid value & I have a hard time believe that those are correct, plus mine don't seem to match the looks on those? Any ideas if these are legit, age, or purpose?

Hi, I have a pair of early Ray Ban anti-glare glasses which I'm looking to date. I've had them for 20 years or so but never wear them, so I am considering selling them. Any advice would be most welcome.

Hi - I was hoping someone knows what these are. I inherited these years ago and have had no luck searching based on the numbers. They're the darkest pair of sunglasses I've ever seen! I actually find them unwearable. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I have a pair of Outdoorsman I'm trying to date. B&L Ray-Ban Made in the USA, 1/10 12K GF engraved on the top and bottom of the crossbar. 1/10 12K GF (and a symbol I don't recognize) engraved on the inside of the right arm and there is decorative engraving opposite that on the outside of the arm. Also, there are tick marks on the inside center of the wire that goes through the sweat bar.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks!

These are 1950s with filigree temples. Are you selling them?

These are from the late 1930s anti glare. Are they for sale?
