Yeah, I actually have the pants to the suit but figured I'd try to get away with it as a SC. Maybe not. To clarify, though, are you all saying that a quarter-zip + SC would be ok with a collared shirt underneath (such as a patterned button-down collar shirt), or not at all? I definitely would not wear a turtle-neck underneath (too guido), but wasn't sure what the de facto SF stance was on such things. I often see tradly guys do a quarter-zip with a navy SC and blue OCBD, but that seems so boring to me. For the record, this is my first time pairing a quarter-zip with a SC/jacket, so wanted to see what reactions it garnered.

This is not what I actually wore today, because depressingly there are still 5 ft piles of snow outside and it was -15C. I just wanted to post a picture of these summer trousers, which were my latest DIY project. Maybe I'll be able to actually wear them in a couple of months.

Trousers are a good fit, except maybe a little short (I know, short hems are somewhat trendy right now). Nice shoes, too; the beige welt picks up the light-colored trousers well for the summer look.
edit: maybe the pockets are pulling a tad?

Thanks - I tried these with a little bit of a break and wasn't feeling it, but this is a little shorter than I normall go on the inseam... I thought some might also think that there's too much taper, but that's fine with me - it's the style I had in mind as I made them. There is still a little bit of pull at the pockets, but they pants aren't tight through the hips - it's an issue I am trying to work out with the pattern I'm using, but it's a big improvement from my past efforts. Hopefully with 1 or 2 more pairs it will be worked out.
