Is that not a waxed Barbour or the like, so...not a down jacket as your quote of @DorianGreen is in reference to?

I have no horse in this race at all, but I am both amused and bemused at how much @DorianGreen's comment stirred things up here.

I'm glad you have pointed it out, an innocuous comment of mine gets intentionally misinterpreted for the purpose of discrediting me.

Reminding me of a long dispute @jonathanS had with @bernoulli, where the former seemed to take pleasure in stirring the things again and again.

I respect any opinion provided that it's expressed in a civil way and with intellectual honesty: it seems instead that Jonathan is rather biased in his comments. Anyway this is my last intervention on the subject, no interest in any sterile debate.

Wild take. Thanks for ruining this thread. I’ll be unwatching it.

Guys, it's 2024, we don't need to be arguing about overcoats. There's more pressing things to be worrying about. I appreciate everyones input on this thread.

To get things back on track, here’s another one from my personal collection. The lining got shredded years ago (don’t ask) but one of these days I’ll take it in to get fixed. Also don’t mind the wrinkles, it’s been in storage for years.
