Is it also traditional for these coats to hit above the knee or was that a personal choice? Looks great btw.
Thanks. I left all details except one to Tofani. As I will wear it buttoned to the middle button, I decided to eschew a breast pocket as only a sliver would peek out from under the lapel. Which looked a little odd from my perspective.

Just in time for the cold winter, this is a 1000g olive whipcord coat.

Hello.

I have a question regarding Tofani's house style.

What I can see on the photos in the styleforum and on Tofani's Instagram account, that the jackets are basically cut more on the tighter side. Meaning the left and the right side follows very well and tapers down the waist line.

But what I couldn't see on the pictures is, how the cut is on the back. Meaning is the cut on the back roomy with volume and the clothes falls down. straight or does the cut on the back follow more the S-shape of the spine.

Maybe some of you experts can answer this question

Thanks in advance

Their house cut is narrow by default particularly to the shoulders but I'd not define it as tight or slim. Of course there is no drape. They are perfectly able to cut something more ample with extended shoulders if you ask.

Travel restrictions being what they are, Tofani has been unable to travel to NYC for some time. As I understand Biden’s most recent directives, that may soon change. But in the mean time we met halfway. Not really. That would have put us somewhere over the mid-Atlantic. So Paris would have to do.

Enjoying a quick lunch at FTG (Frenchies To Go) before getting down to business.

Went with a 625g lime green Casentino for a casual winter jacket. And also a bottle green velvet for a true smoking jacket.

Cool jacket but I wish he had a shot of the jacket with the collar folded down instead of popped up.
I think that's the style. It looks to be a riff on several European-style jackets.

I like this. Maybe this in the lime green Casentino rather than a jacket.

nice jacket and impressive but wearable colour - I've been appreciating burnt oranges a lot lately after finding a similarly coloured Gran Sasso sweater sold for next to nothing on ebay.
Though I'd change a few details, particularly the 3 button cuffs look odd in a jacket this casual, I'd opt for single button.

I add this wonderful jacket to the thread because it deserves to be showed.

Tofani will be in London for the first time this November (19-20th)! Highly recommend making an appointment if spots still allow. Just received my vintage Harris tweed (picked up at LSD in Paris some years ago). Turned out absolutely fantastic - as per usual with the Tofani's. Photo during the first fitting attached.

Pleasure before business. The Tofani family treated my wife and I to a traditional Neapolitan lunch before we headed out that evening for the Napoli-Verona soccer (caccio) game.

A few of the commissions (not mine) at the last stages of being finished.

so, we finalized two new commissions. As I have the basics well covered, I went with a couple of more non-traditional options. @lordsuperb may not like the final product but I’m sure he’ll appreciate the effort.
