I think they've gotten as popular as they have because of Kanye tbh. First it was the cp chelseas then it was the BV chelsea.
I personally like them because they are just easy to wear and the crepe sole is real comfortable, most chelseas have a stacked heel and look either too dressy or too workboot imo, the CP is perfect.
I have a pair of the black leather version from 4-5 years ago and they've been destroyed. i mean they are everywhere now and definitely over saturated but it's not like it's a "new" thing and I can't see them disappearing even after the hypebeasts graduate to the next thing.

Is toe creasing with suede slip ons pretty normal? I've only worn mine once and the right foot (my larger foot) already has a crease.

i'm gonna beat them up so i'm keeping them regardless, but idk

btw, does anybody else redo the lacing on their designer sneakers?

i prefer cross-lacing, but do you guys think that messes with the "lines" of the shoe or something?

If you want to keep the shape for longer put some shoe trees in. But it only prolongs the inevitable.

I like the original lacing style, normally used on most high-end designer sneakers. The cross lacing makes them look like Stan Smiths.

Normally I will lace up a shoe with cross lacing if I need them tighter. Bar lacing is a much cleaner look, IMO.

Not sure what I'm looking at. They look fine.
