Shame we just missed each other! Did you pick anything up? I had my finds shipped home so I’ll post photos next week.
At this point I only am a looker unless some unicorn falls from the sky.

is anyone here thoroughly disappointed with the reserve collection?
the leather looks nowhere close to the quality of similarly priced shoes, like c&j and carmina
I visited the new South Coast Plaza store yesterday briefly before dinner reservations.
I’ve been out of the shoe world for a while.
After exchanging the long-time-no-sees and starting to catch up on our summers, out of the corner of my eye, I see what looks like a duplicate of what I have on my feet: navy shell MacNeils. What the hell is that? interrupts the conversation.
Kyle says it’s the new Reserve Collection.
I’m shocked.
I handle it and I see the differences. First impression: sensible changes and enhancements but price is a shocker.
I handled the croc ptb too - not my style but here at SCP, they can sell that to both the tourists and the locals.
I didn’t take pics but I’ll go back there next week to spend more time taking Reserve in. Hope to share some real life pics.

Happy to help!

Another Shoe Bank find that I will share as I decided not to claim them myself… Green Shell Park Avenue’s in 9E

That photo made me be aware that there's a range of what green shell can look like. My Parks are in this same leather, but they look more blue-green, and these above look more green.

The reserve collection looks great!

The double-leather soles, lots of brouging, more derby styles than oxfords looks robust, practical yet stylish in its rugged way.

It shares design similarities with the rugged style with lots of brouging of the Hungarian-Austrian-German style of shoe making.

The full-wing derby and derby boot look great.

And they ship the shoes even to Germany.

Question: Using a Brannock-Device for measureing ones feet, do the shoes of Allen Edmands fit true-to-size given the measurement of length and width?

Best regards

Pascal
I have only experienced the 65 last. I fin it true to size.

I finally got one in my hands. The lining leather was good. But the calf was not as impressive. Other than a detail on the sole, there is nothing that really separates it from other AE shoes. Same stitch density. Hopefully with only 4 people making them the quality of manufacturing will be good. But one of the Shoebank sales women said that the quality parameters would stay the same. So I guess welt joints that miss by less than 1/16th of an inch are ok. Price point aside, the one pair that I saw was made well.

Translation: "visible defects are acceptable to Caleres in a shoe that costs nearly (or sometimes more than) $1000."
