A little taste from the way-back machine for me. My wife was in the Bay Area for work last week and brought back some good stuff from Barefoot.

Looks like Brandywine brought back the Blueberry co-ferment yet again. Makes me wonder how many beans Sanchez processed for this run.

I still might get another bag.

I recently picked up the Aeropress XL and I've been very happy with it. The portion size was always my problem with the original Aeropress and I'm glad they finally gave in and made a bigger one.

It mostly lives in my office but worked great while camping too.

This showed up on our doorstep just before my wife came back from her work visit to San Jose (Barefoot is behind the airport).

I do one of those coffee subscription things and get bags from a wide variety of roasters. I've been noticing a trend of selling 10.5 oz bags, for the same price as 12 oz of course.

Shrinkflation in my coffee :-(

Here’s some travel beta if you end up in Terminal A at DIA (Denver). Novo is the best coffee in this airport.

Consistently best espresso or ristretto was at Cafe Grumpy on 20th St, NYC. They sourced beans from Novo. They started roasting themselves and the espresso was never the same.
Started ordering direct form Novo.

The only way to beat it is to hit up the source.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
