We have a strangely active section for a city like Edmonton... There isn't even a real Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal thread etc......

I think there's a few Londoners here. Would be nice to meet up with some like-minded SFers, and also draw on their local knowledge.

I think this is a great idea as it will allow people to recommend suppliers/tailors etc that will be applicable to the area that may not get discussed as often in the context of general advice. As well as thrift-tips, local eccentricities and pointers that we can use to raise our game.

I think there's a few of us in London or at least vaguely nearby. More than enough for a meet-up I'd think. But who's going to organise this sort of business?

This has got to be self-organized... this is the mad house which is SF, after all.

I think the usual routine is that you go off to your respective forum, advertise a get together
in a given city, see how many people are going to show up, and then deal with it.

Once it gets going, it looks like there are regulars, and it can be pretty
low-organization.
