Hello all! Sorry, I'm new to StyleForum so apologies if there's a way of searching this thread for Hiro-related last questions.

I'm considering buying my first pair of Meermin shoes in the form of their current tasseled loafers available MTO. My issue is related to sizing (surprise, surprise), as I have really quite wide feet. Meermin recommend that I go for a 10, but I have seen people saying that the Hiro last is not overly generous in the width. What are people's experiences with this last? I am a 10 on Loake's River last (after some wearing in), a 10.5 on Capital (also requiring quite some wearing in), and a 10H in RM Williams (although I do completely fill the width out). The fact that they are suede and unlined makes me think they'll give, but I don't want to completely distort the shape.

Finally, any fixes for if I go for a 10.5 and they're too big?

Many thanks in advance!
In my experience loafers are the hardest to fit. I would recommend trying on a pair in Madrid or New York if at all possible, or buying a cheap used pair on Hiro, but if you're really set on MTO buying blind I'd get the 10 and expect a fair bit of break-in.

Ah, excellent. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to get to either store, sadly. I don't suppose anyone has ever compiled a list of measurements corresponding to each size on here, have they?

Thank you! I'm assuming that's in mm, in which case, a size 10 would only be 99mm wide? Am I reading that correctly? If that is the case then even a size 12 isn't wide enough for me!

Keep in mind these are internal last measurements. You should compare with your actual foot width, preferably while wearing typical socks.

Rui is more spacious through the waist and toes. I wear the same size but if you have very wide feet and Rui is tight then perhaps you won't want to.
My Ruis are very comfortable and roomy, while my Hiros in the same size is hella tight and needs a lot of breaking in.
