This morning -
Robot pose:

My first impression was that this is a nice, suit, but it was immediately followed by the thought that the gorge is just too high (and I like a high gorge). Then I thought that maybe if it were a 6 button formation it would break up the spae a bit between the gorge and the top button and might help to make your torso look less stretched out. As it is, it looks like there is a great expanse between your waist and your shoulder. Nonetheless it is still a very striking suit and a great fit, so you should wear it with confidence.

Well, not yet...

Excellent pictures. In most cases when I see a post I like I just feel an authentic appreciation, but I have to admit that with your posts that feeling is accompanied by envy.

The event was for the show Now Dig This! which is a survey of African American artists in Los Angeles from 1960-1980. I expected there'd be a lot of well dressed black men at the show, and I was right. In that context, I was well dressed, I got some complements and approving nods here and there, but I was also fairly anonymous. I want more opportunities to be in settings like that, but the truth is that I have very few of them, which is a bummer.

Join the NAACP? Urban League? Get the Churchwell brothers to adopt you?

Well, you certainly have the shirt, tie and suit coordinated. The pocket square doesn't fit at all. (Lime green with red and black? What were you tying to achieve? Wasn't the suit pattern loud enough? Why not white to coordinate with the rest of the outfit?)) But the elephant in the room is that you don't pull it off. Get the hair cut and go for a great fitting suit but not an such an ostentatious look. Get comfortable with nailing a more classic style to look your best. I am impressed that the fit isn't bad and you did (except for the PS, get the mix and match right. That is better than most on WAYRN. Keep at it Bleachboy.
