Damned by faint praise my friend 'quite'?

The last works perfectly for me, especially as it was my introduction to Rain without trying any example on, just saying.

No intention to damn--faint praise or otherwise. Apologies, if you felt that was my intention. Cheers.

Medium-to-narrow-width foot? Most here would disagree. I love the Rain last were EG "F" and Alden "E." Very glad you like the shoes, but above is not good information for folks. I do concur they are quite cool looking shoes.
Wrong. I wear an American E. Not EE, but E. I cannot wear rain-lasted shoes without getting its wide fitting. Rain in its regular fitting is plainly too narrow.

Rain is definitely not as narrow as simpson. But it is simply wrongheaded -- bad information -- to say it will work for those needing an American "E" width. The writer who said rain in its regular fitting is medium is accurate.

We will have to agree to disagree. Cheers.

My maiden pair of Carminas and I'm smitten :inlove:

Absolutely gorgeous :slayer: and everything @steveyoo1983 told me they'd be

From start to finish in this MTO Stevey has been excellent. Quality of service is as equally as important as quality of product to me and Stevey and gentlemensfootwear.com delivers, I'll be back!

Navy captoe, orange Marcoliani and brown Epaulet canvas trousers. Really great shoes.

All this Rain last debate is interesting. I tend to agree with Burton that it fits wider than a typical D width and borders on an E width.

Went a bit crazy with some suede MTOs...

As always, Steve's customer service was top notch, he is a pleasure to do business with.

To share my personal experience, I'm a 8.5E US and 7.5 wide UK in both the Rain and Forest lasts. The regular width doesn't work for me on either last. The Carmina wide width fits very similarly to a typical E in the more traditionally fitting Alden (Aberdeen, Plaza, and Grant) or Allen Edmonds lasts (1 and 7).
