I did it from leather foot Toronto

Well, then, that's a problem........they can't send CITES goods across the border. Not legally, anyway. Also, remember that YOU are the importer of record......not the brand or shops responsibility to know import regulations as YOU are the one that will be held responsible. Of course, there is always the chance nothing gets opened. But, laws/regulations being broken here. Also worth noting that Homeland Security administers CITES regulations these days - and enforcement.

Take it from someone who imports exotics on a regular basis....not something to chance. And I've been on the wrong side of the equation.

leffot and the armoury. Ron is right regarding F&W. I think they celebrate catching these things.

Holy **** so should I cancel my Stcrisp crock mto doubl monk then?

absolutely not. whoever you bought them from will handle the paperwork for you.
you may experience a delay in customs if they're coming from outside the US but the declarations will be made

Are you sure about that? The paperwork has to be organized by the sender, but you still need a license to receive. Perhaps this only applies to businesses. I would check before they shipped though because unlike customs that just tacks on a fee F&W will confiscate it, and/or assess a penaltypenalty and its more than 6%.

a license to own a pair of gator shoes ? I know I don't have and won't get a license to continue owning the 3 shoes I have with alligator trim
they were delayed in customs and there were import duties that had to be paid but the cites paperwork was filed by the guy who made them
which was reviewed by fish & wildlife before they were released for delivery. the southeast harvests gator by the truckload - where would you think
the hides go and used for what . . . . they aren't just a meat source.
