Higgins Mills today for another rainy day. Getting maximum mileage out of my boots while I still can.

All this hang up on engish grammar. Whenever I have a semicolon problem, I sit in the throneroom and look at lots of pics of the Grantham. Always works out well

Wore the calf and shark "Surfer Eaters" yesterday. Recently replaced the laces with the same laces that are used in the Carlyles.
I just noticed that the grained section of leather looks more like kudu antelope instead of shark. I think that this shoe was made with several different leather combinations over the years. What would you call them if they were antelope instead of shark?

I'm not sure the answer to your question, but I would've called them surf and turfs instead of surfer eaters.

Guys with the Massdrop unlined chukkas, I'm worried about putting my normal shoe trees (I think they are made by Woodlore, but from J.A.B.) and having them stretch the leather. Do you have recommendations? Or am I just being nervous for no reason?

yet another sizing question.

I am looking at the Dundee 2.0 and my searches seem to give some conflicting sizing advice. I currently have some Macgregor (5-last) that fit pretty good, if not a touch sloppy and some First Ave's that fit spot-on. My feet are maybe slightly narrow but certainly very lean/low volume. Both are 9.5D's, but the First Ave's have the poron insole. I believe the Dundee2.0 also have that insole. Any/all advise appreciated! thanks

I hit two AE shops in the District yesterday. No luck on any shoes my size but it was nice to see two shops in a day.

Had the Liverpools on for the day.

I found the advice for brannock size spot on. 8E for me but still curious how a 7.5EEE would have fit in comparison

I saw one last week taxiing by an A380 parked near the international terminal at DFW.  Amazing how small the 74 looks next to it.

I swear I will fly on one before they disappear. Hardest part is to find a flight. All I can find is KLM out of Houston or Quantas. So I will obviously either go to Australia or Amerstam.

I wear the same size in my Dundees that I wear in my 65-last shoes.
The Dundees are slightly shorter (than the 65-last shoes), so if length on your 65-last shoes is an issue, you need to keep that in mind.

I've got a couple pairs of five pocket cords from Bonobos. You've gotta find the fit that works for you, but I think they're not a bad deal if you can snag them on sale.

I just snagged my 4th pair of Bonobos chinos on flea-bay. Two are straight leg and two are slim fit.

Didn't pay more than $32 for any of them and they were all new with tags. Evidently Nordstrom clearanced a bunch of them out and a few folks are turning them.
