Yesterday, On the Fly in San Francisco hosted an AS trunk show: It was run by one of SF's favorite, most esteemed sons, Ron Rider: Ron brought a complete set of fit models that he's leaving with On the Fly for their regular use, since they and Leffot are the exclusive US carriers of AS handgrades: Here he is at the end of a busy day explaining some of the finer points of the AS lines to one of OTF's already knowledgeable SA's, who is also a long-time member of the forum himself: Thanks for the show, Ron and OTF. Safe travels back to VA, Ron!

What about back to grammar class?

What about a grammar class? It is you who requires a grammar lesson. The usage of "a" or "an" before a word in not down to the spelling of the following word but the pronunciation. We were not invited to "an Alfred Sargent trunk show" but to " a AS trunk show". Note the pronunciation of "a" and Alfred is the same as in apple, whereas in AS it is "A" as in May.

It is the same between "a history of car making" and "I'll be with you in an hour" or "a wedding is a union between two people" and "it is raining so take an umbrella with you"

When trying to be a smart arse, it helps if you are smart, otherwise you only succeed in bringing disparage upon yourself.

Common usage is not always correct of course, but common usage in the US would certainly be "an AS show." Could it be a US vs British English thing? I would certainly say "an anchor" or "an A on a test," for example. But I'm not correct about everything.

I guess I should read more carefully. That means that On The Fly has all size /last
combos for AS. Great! I'm going to see if they can fit me. If they can, I'm good for

You need both grammar lessons and spelling lessons methinks...from viewing all of the above.

Just ignore the french blabla and enjoy the pics !

I'll wear them with blue or grey pants, maybe bottle green chinos or cords. I'll just make sure something in my outfit has a purple touch (tie, pocket square, stripes of my shirt maybe ?). I also do own a purple tweed jacket
