Did they do any restoration on the uppers? The suede looks so nice and fresh.

Oh - and the new soles look great too.

My AS Handgrade MTO Carrolls from Leffot in NYC. Tobacco suede with Pebble tassels, on the AS19 last.

Damn, those almost made me like a shoe with tassels

Just in answer to your question Sir, the peice of leather added to the 'Last' to provide a little extra room for your High Instep area would be called the 'Cone' of the shoe.
Best regards,
Richard.

With all due respect, not quite...

The piece of leather added to the last would be called a "build-up" ...maybe, among some shoe historians, a "shover."

The build-up, if it were added to make room for the instep of the foot, would be placed on the "cone" of the last.

There is no "cone" on a shoe.

Yesterday, On the Fly in San Francisco hosted an AS trunk show: It was run by one of SF's favorite, most esteemed sons, Ron Rider: Ron brought a complete set of fit models that he's leaving with On the Fly for their regular use, since they and Leffot are the exclusive US carriers of AS handgrades: Here he is at the end of a busy day explaining some of the finer points of the AS lines to one of OTF's already knowledgeable SA's, who is also a long-time member of the forum himself: Thanks for the show, Ron and OTF. Safe travels back to VA, Ron!
