Some easy pants are too pajama-like for me but the Rotas are nice. Just loose enough to be extra-comfy without looking baggy.

Agreed. I think Rota is really the only brand that has truly nailed the easy pants in making something more comfortable that still looks well put together. I have three pair - one cotton twill, one linen and one cotton seersucker and I love all three of them.

For sizing reference, I went up from a 50 to 52 in them, but then had the waist nipped a bit. I need the room in the seat.

I think the Ikiji easy trousers from FW24 also look great.

Hat sizing help please - William Lockie vs GRP - which is larger? I hear both are bigger than inis meain? My IM beanie is too small, luckily though it fits my wife just fine! Thanks
There is some variation in IM beanies. I have both the cashmere/merino beanie and the merino fisherman hat purchased this past fall. The cashmere blend one fits much larger than the fisherman one. I like both, but reach for the cashmere one more often since it's more comfortable pulling over the ears on my above-average head size on a chilly morning.

I'm curious how much the IM variation is material rather than pattern, but I will say the IM merino fisherman cap fit pretty tight out of box (and I do not have a large head). It stretched to fit quickly, though -- maybe three wears, no wash?

We took deposits for the preorders months ago, and had the deposits open on the website so participants could close out on their orders. Sounds like you might've tried join in on the wrong end of things. Shoot us an email.
Thanks, will do! I purchased the one that showed up on the new release/winter sale items list here.

I was actually going to ask about this exact point. I ordered a few beanies from the sale and found them to fit like this from largest to smallest:

GRP >> Inis Meain cashmere/merino donegal mix > William Lockie cashmere >> Inis Meain merino wool.

Does that align with others' experiences? I did find the IM cashmere donegal mix beanie to fit bigger than the IM merino wool beanie (not sure if the cashmere mix beanie dizzy was referring to was donegal or not).

Has anyone tried multiple of the IM merino wool beanies and do they all fit small? I'm wondering if it's worth trying for a different colorway in case the one I received was just small to spec (Alpine).

What are people's experiences over time with Rota trousers that have elastane in the fabric?

I picked up a pair in the sale. The product page says 100% cotton, but the pair I received lists 98% cotton and 2% stretch. (There are a few other differences from the product page too.) '

I don't own many stretchy garments besides socks and underwear—and no stretchy trousers that I can think of—so I am just trying to asses before making the call of whether to keep them or not. Do they hold their pleat/crease and shape well?

Burgundy polo from GRP for the upcoming Chinese New Year. I don't usually wear red so it's a good excuse to try something different and my mom has been nagging me for years.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
