    Steven has made me 4 suits (a DB and then three SBs). The 3rd SB was completely different in style - different lapel shape and shoulder profile. Could have been made by someone else entirely. I quite like it, but it’s very odd.

    This is certainly true of my London tailors. They do have a price list but on the rare occasion I have asked the price of something they open the book it’s in and gesture to it whilst simultaneously looking away with a pained and embarrassed expression.

    Saw Elia Caliendo yesterday in London for a first fitting on a H&S light blue flannel suit (sorry forgot to get pictures). Ordered a new sports jacket in this cloth. Will have 2 patch pockets and a barchetta breast pocket.

    I must admit I was slightly surprised to see the collar in the ribbed fabric as I had forgotten that was what we agreed. But I checked my Marcella shirt that he made a few years back and it is the same with matching collar and cuffs. I'm sure I will get used to it.
