This is merely personal preference, but I would probably have gone for a bit more drape in the chest.

Had a busy eight hours in Naples today meeting first Paone, then Cerrato and finally Luca Avitabile. At Paone I had five fittings, one of them was the second fitting of this linen suit. Not half bad I think. The trousers were however first fitting, they need a bit of cleaning but sure they will be great as well.

What commissions do you use Cerrato for vis-a-vis Paone?

Normally I use Cerrato exclusively for all my pants and shorts, but for this linen suit I decided to have the trousers made together with the jacket. I however knew that Paone used an out-of-house trousers maker, but it was a bit ironic when I realised that the pants was actually made by Cerrato anyway lol. But good news is that he knows my pattern very well, and we actually adjusted it a bit yesterday for some other suit pants where the jackets will also be made by Paone.

I have thought about splitting my next suit commission and getting Marco to make the trousers and NsM the jacket. There are one or two very minor things Cerrato does better (including being willing to put stiffener in the waistband) that make me prefer his trousers, but its such a minor thing, and the NsM trousers are still a classic Neapolitan, i just haven't done it yet.

Looks great. Interesting to see that Elia seems to cut much more closed quarters than most Neopolitans.

I've always wondered: do you have some sponsorship dealings with I Sarti Italiani?
Pretty sure I was clear in at least two other threads - I'm helping him organize his trunk show the first year, and in exchange for the work, my cost remains the same as when I stumbled upon him a few years ago. It's a handshake deal really, and a lot more work than I realized, and makes me glad I'm normally an electrician. I'll be glad when it's over.
