Cruz's fit problems can't all be explained by weight loss. The sleeve nearly covers his hand even though his arm is bent and it's stacking at his elbow. This isn't the first time he's been criticized for terribly fitting clothing, and justifiably so.

Yeah I've seen media criticize his clothing, and usually they give a pretty wide margin of error for politicians (the idea being we should discuss policy not clothing, justifiably so). After all, Bernie's suits are often badly fitting but not bad enough to warrant comment like Cruz's.

In my experience in sales and marketing (which running for office is), the average person tends to mistrust someone who is dressed too well. They are "too slick and up to something" or "dandy-ish". While sloppy isn't good (Cruz looks pretty sloppy in that photo), your standard large cut Jos. Banks suit will do you better in an election than neapolitan tailoring.

But Reagan is widely cited as well dressed.

The pitfall, I think, is looking like you spend too much time thinking about clothes. Thus the uniform of Politician conservative business dress. But ensuring that the PCBD is well fitted will benefit the wearer. There are exceptions, of course. Bernie should look sort of slapdash to be consistent with his socialist, anti-establishment vibe.

I'm sure this can be seen both ways. Sloppy isn't good, but neither is dandy. Dressing the part doesn't command the man's performances, and I'd rather he does his job rightfully and with success, than he dresses well but accomplishes nothing. Now, if he does both, all credit goes to him!

In Canada, we elected a young, (some might say) "fashionable" new PM, with absolutely no political experience other than sharing the name of a past PM of ours. I'm sure he was appointed PM, in part at least, because of his good looks and charism. Still, after almost 6 months, and thousands of selfies, I can't say I'm completely satisfied. He still has many things to prove.

Goes to show that sometimes, looking the part and being the right candidate for the job don't necessarily go hand in hand.

Sorry, I do not want to spark a political debate, especially with fellow Canadian SFers. I just meant to use the situation as a example.

Ted Cruz. Atrociously fitting suit. Comment please.

Thank goodness he's not running for tailor in chief.

It honestly looks like Cruz is wearing one of Trump's jackets and that's why they are smiling for the camera...

Attended a conference this afternoon on end-of-life care and medically-induced death (don't know what are the proper English terms for those two subjects, though).

I do not post much photos of myself on SF, so I would like some constructive criticism on the following:

1000

1000

1000

Texture shot
1000

I do apologize for the iPhone snapshots. I also snapped the left lace in the speedhook, and I had to tie the boot with the little piece of lace I had left, hence the missed rows and un-tied portions.

Good evening gentlemen!

@ShawnBC colors and textures look solid, yes!

Also agree that it's hard to assess overall fit without a full length shot. Understand that's not necessarily possible.
