We also just had a quick idea for the packaging. How about we do special boxes for these where we have everyone who is involved in the first pre-order (which I assume comprises of the people who answered the questionnaire) printed on the inside of the box with their location or hometown which we can pull from the shipping address used in the order so there isn't more work for everyone to complete?.

What do you all think of that? for example: FirstName, LastName - Town, Country?

@LA Guy as this is a collab with SF what do you think?

Is this actually happening? :D

Don't you guys maybe have some more "real" pictures of the grey 'roo or anticato sienna ones? Like the ones @OrlandoMo posted of the white 'roos... Decisions are always difficult!
Couldn’t find any pics! I’ll try to get some

Live now!

Thanks. I can see the option, but when I choose it, I get this: Screen Shot 2020-02-05 at 7.45.39 am.png

So we laid these out next to the common projects in our offices and it seems everyone who passed by preferred them. So I guess well done everyone who contributed.

They are slightly wider and a little shorter length wise than Common Projects and for everyone who tried... they sized very similarly. The size tool works out well.

Other feedback.. The insole is far more comfortable, ankle support is better done, leather seems nicer and the kangaroo was a big hit.
I love how you try to give us credit for all of the hard work you, @OrlandoMo and the team did. Can't wait to get my hands on them.

In the meantime I'm happy to report my Ghirlandina's are a joy to wear. Don't know what tannery you used but the leather continues to impress. I've put in some hard wear, including a long hike through a muddy trail(got caught without my hiking boots traveling) and the shoes always look best the next time I wear them.

This sounds great.

Man, I am so tempted to get both an anticato and a kangaroo. The kangaroos are not in my preferred colours but I have never had a pair of shoes in that leather and I somehow feel I'd be missing on something if didn't get one. Do you maybe have more details about it? Do you know how kangaroo leather ages when in grey or white? Somehow I can't picture a nice patina by aging on a kangaroo grey shoe and I believe it is just my lack of imagination... :S

Cheers
My personal experience with kangaroo leather is that the leather can be slightly more wrinkly, this is actually a function of it being thinner. However, pound for pound they are stronger in tensile strength and tougher than Calf of the same weight.

I have Kangaroo leather in soccer boots and sneakers (Pantofola Doro) and they break in faster, are really tough and last season after season. The cons being that they appear slightly more casual and doesn't take to polishing compared to the finest Calf but that is a moot point for a casual sneaker.

My recommendation is if you want a lower maintenance tough everyday sneaker that you do not mind getting dirty or showing more age i.e. Wrinkles and creases, kangaroo might be the way to go. Not many makers offer this. If you keep a really neat appearance and prefer the CP white clean look, go for the Calf.

Any real world pics of the grey roo paired with different outfits?

I am leaning towards the grey roo as well.
Unfortunately all we have with us at the moment are the all black calf, all white calf, white kanga gum sole, and mustard suede white sole.

Thanks! It does indeed sound great but I do not want to miss on this great calf so I will contain myself, only buy an anticato and buy a kangaroo pair when SF-02 comes around... because that is a thing, right @ArchibaldRoh? RIGHT? :)

Cheers
