Still can't find the Albin in black crinkled leather in a size 9 anywhere. Any ideas? I'm thinking about calling some out-of-state stores--there are no local dealers--and asking if they could ship them to me.

As a second choice, what do you guys think of the Albin in canvas, or crinkled leather but in white?

Ordered this shoe when 6pm was having a major sale for PF Flyers. I spent $30 including shipping. I really want the Albin in black wrinkled leather, but I figured I'd buy a different model until they get back in stock.

I was skeptical about this shoe at first since it's a hi-top (I've never worn that style before and I have a high instep) and white (I'd normally go for a darker color), but I figured it'd make more sense to buy a hi-top rather than a low-top if I plan to buy the Albin, and white made sense since I want the Albin in black.

I believe my skepticism has been thwarted. At least so far, this shoe is really comfortable. It has so much cushion for the bottom of the foot and a decent amount of arch support. My only complaint is that the sides and back of the shoe are somewhat flimsy, but this is counterbalanced by the fact that the lowest part of the back of the shoe is stiff for heel support.

I think this model is unique because it's made of suede. And I think that might better preserve the white color.

Happy with my purchase. Now I must wait for the Albin!

kopped these bad boys for $32. The albin is cool, but i like the toe box and overall profile of this shoe as opposed to the above...my own take of course. I hope the 11.5 fits well since i wear an 11 in purcells.

just wanna say i had my no. 5s for about 6 months before the heel starting ripping. i love the shoes to death, they are super comfy but just fell apart!

I wasn't particularly impressed with the pricing. You can usually get them cheaper when 6pm.com has a sale.

I heard the Albin was going to be available again in crinkled black leather near the end of August. Any info on where to purchase? It hasn't popped up on 6pm yet.

Months later and still haven't been able to find the Albin in wrinkled leather. Fail.

I saw a model in Japan last week that i fell in love with. First PF sneakers i've ever liked.
It was a white high-top and it said "Bob Cousey" on the side.

Funny you should mention that, as I'm currently looking for the white low top Cousy.

Try zappos and 6pm.com. Each has a couple different colourways.

I've been rocking Cousy lows all spring. For $35 (on sale), they really are hard to beat. MUCH more comfortable IMO than Chucks. I've not tried this highs, but probably will one of these days.
