Hi,

I am looking to purchase my very first tweed jacket and I would need some advice please.
I saw this Hardy Amies jacket on eBay for 36£ and I would like to know if you think that it is a nice purchase.

is it 100% wool? do you like the fabric pattern and cut? e.g. lapels, gorge, vents etc. if so, buy it. if not, plenty to choose from on ebay right now

That one is VERY nice. I love the details on it. Half Norfolk Style with Belt, 2 vents is good, can't tell if it has action back pleats. Triple patch pockets is a nice touch, throat latch (functional?), elbow patches, and bellow hip pockets, but no buttons on them. Still nice details, and something I love in my tweeds.

The latch is just a detail with no function. It's great to get a thumbs up from such an expert on tweed such as yourself!

I have a functional latch on my hybrid hacker, would recommend if you live in a cool climate!
