@thelonius I believe the Bladen brand was purchased by Wensum who are one of the larger tailoring manufacturers operating in Mauritius.

Enjoy your jacket - it’s an easy thing to say, but they literally don’t make them like that any more…

Any recommended brands for an unstructured tweed blazer that's more on the relaxed(ish) fit side? Something casual.

I have always appreciated tweed clothes for country use, and also the history and culture behind the cloth. I bought a tweed jacket from A Hume about three years ago. It is a Bladen Supasax tweed jacket made for A Hume at a fairly heavy 700g/m2 cloth weight. It is a very appreciated cold-weather country jacket. A Hume seems not to be stocking any Bladen products any more, and told me they had no information about the company. I have tried to find some additional information about Bladen, which relocated to Mauritius apparently at some point. Does anyone know if Bladen is still operating, or has it closed down, the name been bought by another (Chinese?) company?
Thanks for your replies.
I attach photos of my jacket for no particular reason.
I know Tweed in Stockholm sell their products (see https://tweed.se/collections/bladen). Don't know much else about them.

I love this bold tweed from Fox, here on a handsome sport coat by Taillour.
