I've dealt with a lot of issues on ebay/paypal, and I'm sure you have dealt with more, but I'm missing what happened and why there is an issu.

  • He paid via paypal... did he use reg paypal (fee) with a shipping address you have to ship to, or paypal money owed (no fee, no address)?

  • You shipped him a box via USPS with tracking, signature confirmation and insurance to his PO BOX

  • USPS Website says the box was delivered (and I assumed signed for due to insured over $xxx value)

  • Buyer opens a paypal dispute  that he did not receive it?

I'm confused where the issue is or why paypal would side with him? You shipped to the PO Box, with tracking and insurance and USPS says it was delivered. End of story unless I'm missing something here.

It sounds like the guy is claiming someone hacked into his account and paid for an item that he did not buy, had it shipped to a PO Box that is not his? The Postal Inspectors will be able to determine who owns the box and who receives packages at that box. They will be able to determine who signed for and received the item. Whoever got the item would have had to have gone to the USPS window services area with a slip from the box and they would have retrieved it for that person. They would have only given it to the person if they were authorized to get it. This has a paper trail a mile long so I am confused why a complaint with the Postal Inspectors Office has not already been filed against this piece of garbage!

here is the problem my brother is new to this, the guy paid his paypal and there was no address attached, so my brother asked me his address, naturally i assumed that my brother was asking since he didnt know you can check address on paypal and i assumed the po box was there on his a ccount that was mistake 1. mistake 2 on my brothers part was not requiring signature confirmation which as soon as i found out i did this :brick::fu::facepalm: . but i still have the proof through the forum pms so if an investifation is opened should be enough, or am i wrong?

Any parcel insured for more than $200 (this was a $2300 purchase, no?) automatically gets signed for. No signature confirmation is needed. The USPS does not want to pay out on a $2300 claim so they absolutely require a signature at the time of delivery, if insured for more than $200. The USPS has records showing who owns that PO Box. This does not seem very complicated to me.

OK OK, sorry for my stupid post above, now it makes sense what happened.

1st thing(s) I would do personally (not advise), as said is call paypal, explain the situation and ask them to note your account that you will be doing the following. Contact the post office it was shipped to and open up a fraud report, if it just happened most of them know the people who come in a lot and even might remember putting this box inside the PO Box or who signed for it being insured. Also call the local police department of the city it was shipped to and file a fraud/thrift claim. If he wants to really provide it, grab his lawyers info (I doubt he will provide it) and CC his lawyer on everything, every phone call, every email, etc etc.

As you said, contact Admins of the forum for IP info if they will provide it (may not be able to legally until you have a police report). I'm sure some of the lawyers here might be able to lend a hand via PM.....

Please keep us up to date.

Wow, I didnt realize paypal pretty much F'ed sellers like that...no more shipping to PO Boxes for me. Might have to start requiring signature on receipts too...

I might be done selling on ebay. There are too many kids buying my **** and then not paying, usually with latino or asian names...not sure if they are exchange students, illegal aliens, or what but there is a pattern. I guess that is better than this situation, but it is frustrating as hell and there seems to be no recourse via ebay.
The leap you are making regarding legal status is disturbing and, frankly, a bit offensive...it's stupidity at its finest.

No, but the Postal Service will! $2300 insurance? That is grand theft! This is not a small matter to the Postal Inspectors. They will relish the idea of getting this guy. It is what they live for. This is way beyond Paypal. You want the Postal Inspectors after this guy. The bottom line is someone owns that PO Box. The Inspectors will know who. Someone receives parcels at this box. The Inspectors will know who after talking to the PO Box clerk. Someone signed for that parcel. The Inspectors will know who signed for it. If the person who owns the box and signed for it hacked into this guys Paypal account, which is not likely, then they will be able to get these people. If the guy who owns the Paypal account is also the one who received the parcel then he is dead. Anyway you cut it, you need to file a mail fraud complaint with the Postal Inspection Service. A complaint on a $2300 item will definitely get there attention. My pops worked for the Postal Service for 20 years and he has told horror stories about how aggressive these guys are. They will get someone for this.

I hope so, the only issue here is the only thing linking the po box to him (unless he owns it) is my pm messages which is the integral part of my burden of proof

And then there was this one. Ebay search turned up nothing, but the pattern was neat and I hadn't seen anything totally in German before. By Laco for Herbert Stock. Anyone familiar with them? Hansderhund?
Apparently it was a men's store that closed last year. They actually designed/produced their own clothing. Apparently the owner (Hebert Stock) really loved the business. It's in German only, but maybe google translator would do a decent job, it's interesting. http://www.rp-online.de/region-dues...e-im-wandel-herbert-stock-schliesst-1.2790712 It was taken over by a Turkish company after it closed.

Am I allowed to do my first ever thrift fit if I don't have a full length mirror?

My best fitting thrifted jacket. No alterations whatsoever, I'm pretty happy with it!

Jacket: Norman Hilton Super 90's Merino Lambs Wool (Thrifted)
Tie: Balenciaga (thrifted)
Shirt: Brooks Brothers Christmas sale
Belt: PRL (Marshall's clearance)
Pants: Canali flannel slim fit but with a 5 pocket stance... weird. I added big FU cuffs to them too so they are statement pants. (The Rack clearance)
Shoes not pictured: Allen Edmonds Fifth Street (retail

)

Any deets on the watch?
Ok guys, I have a situation, a member of the forum has scammed my brother out of $2300 (tom ford suit and pants) he had him ship it to a po box and then filed an unauthorized payment with paypal as soon as he received it. i have pms with him directing me to ship it to the po box, but paypal doesnt seem to care, anyone have any ideas?
figured you guys have experience with these kinds of scams through ebay
That sucks major suckage! I hope this gets sorted out soon. What's this unauthorized payment as in someone stole his identity to buy a TF suit? So basically you have evidence of him authorizing the payment and directing the suit to be shipped to a PO Box. I think that's enough evidence to support your case with Paypal. Have you talked to a customer rep. about this?

and if someone hacked his SF account and paypal account, the postal office will get that person who owns the PO box for mail fraud.

Its not going to be easy, but the post office shows it was delivered, SOMEONE has it and signed for it. I'm sure they will find out who. Keep paypal in the loop with phone calls. Although their policy might not be the best I have had very good luck speaking with the people who will do all they can (within the their limits) to help out.

Best of luck sorting out that miserable situation, Eddie.

Hit up the Rack and found two pairs of returned selvedge APCs for 50. Only issue was one was shortened to a tiny inseam, and the other had a questionable stain on the back.

Regretted leaving them until I found these at the next stop...

RRL is 29x34, Nudies are Slim Jim 30x34. Neither is available by the standards of this thread, but let me know if you have similar denim in 27-28 vanity (30 tts).

Unworn AE "Logans." The current Logan is a boot, so I'm assuming these were discontinued. 9D. Tentatively available.

Wow, seeing his facebook page really makes him look like a douche.
It's interesting to see him post fit pics without covering his face and doing so with his later fit pics. Not smart...

Did you add those names to the eBay block list?
I've dealt with a lot of issues on ebay/paypal, and I'm sure you have dealt with more, but I'm missing what happened and why there is an issu.

  • He paid via paypal... did he use reg paypal (fee) with a shipping address you have to ship to, or paypal money owed (no fee, no address)?

  • Buyer opens a paypal dispute that he did not receive it?

I'm confused where the issue is or why paypal would side with him? You shipped to the PO Box, with tracking and insurance and USPS says it was delivered. End of story unless I'm missing something here.

EDIT - OK, I get it now. The PO Box received it, but hes saying the payment was never authorized you sent it to the unauthorized persons PO Box? Was it shipped to a confirmed paypal address?
Does Paypal confirm PO Box address?

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
