Yea bro, I even pick up the old stuff if its in a cool fabric or makeup. It sits longer and doesn't sell for as much but there seems to be a robust group out there that looks for Oxxford.

Mostly to test/prove theories on whether certain 'Dry Clean Only' items really need to be that strictly handled. I had just tested the method on a similar material RL jacket and it worked fine.. It's Nylon so should be fine to wash.

These were amassed over years and had been in storage. Though covered in garment bags, some dust got on em and they had that sort of "clothing in storage" smell to them. I figured either pony up for a big dry cleaning bill or clean myself.

Warm wash with Oxyclean, agitation by hand. Longest I let them sit was maybe 5 mins.. Especially with warm you don't want to let sit long. With cold water the risk of dye running/transfer is less, but still there. The red jacket was basically washed separately with cold.

The leather collar parts and cashmere lining on the vest are a bit more delicate.. They can be hand washed but drying must be done carefully. No tumble drying for these just a spin-only dry and hang on hangers. After fully dry I will gently steam from inside out and I will probably apply a tiny amount of Bick 4, very carefully, to the leather parts to give it back some moisture and sheen.

*To clarify there's no items there that are full leather - Just the collars on a few. I DO have 2 leather Loros needing cleaning though 🤔

Dude this is extremely risky.
Why not just try it on one jacket first.
I mean it's your stuff but my mind is boggled .
