I work in local government, "business" attire is still expected.

Dress shirt, chinos/ trousers, dress shoes is still required for male employees in the office or when representing Council.

Tailored jackets and ties are pretty rare (except from me), though still seen occasionally.

I'd imagine the APS is the same.

Wear what you want though, unless you look sloppy or have a particularly narcy manager, likely nobody will care.
Thanks however ACT Government employees in my experience dress upper middle bogan.

What are we talking about with upper middle bogan? Lots of puffer vests and polo shirts?

I have a friend in the APS who wears a suit and tie daily, might just be him though! Like I said, I definitely dress up more than what's required in Council.

Depends on what department your in or in some cases if you’re trying to escape Services Australia

Seems to be by Bespoke Factory. Half the "cut out the middleman" shops use them.
