Who was our resident western boot guy who mentioned Lucchese customer service and was in like AZ? Was that @Sartoriamo ?

Was that customer service email address just their generic CS email? Or was it some private back office one that's hard to find. Got an interesting pair to de-code.
Yep, just email [email protected]. They are awesome.

This isn't the usual but it jumped out at me in the racks. Pierangelo Masciadri is the designer. He mostly does purses, silks, and ties. I was not able to find a jacket by him anywhere so I emailed customer service on his website. I received a response from the designer himself, pretty cool. It looks like he has some ties to other designers we know.

Is that section of cord in the neck just a silver colored fabric cord, or metal? Looks like a section of sterling necklace

Some recent finds and a question:

I found the Zegna tie at the same store I found all the previous Zegna, Isaia etc at, I am pretty sure it's the same donor. I did wonder why the guy didn't seem to have any decent ties... This one is heavily used, so will be used for experimenting with reconditioning on. It's my first real quality tie; it's solid enough to be used for mooring a yacht.

The suit is a linen/wool Pal Zileri sz 54 - I found this in a store in a tiny town in the least affluent part of the country. Spotted the "made in Italy" and went for it.

Then there is this - I can't seem to find anything about it. Is it a women's piece? Etro jeans.

How are the front pockets? Women's jeans tend to have super shallow pockets that you can't fit your whole hand in while men's jeans can fit your whole hand and more.

Pockets are what I'd expect from a men's pair of jeans it's just that the fit seems to be more suited for an, ahem, more femininely shaped posterior.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
