I admire your wife's taste. Thats awesome that she enjoys a good pair of shoes. Too bad I cant get my girlfriend to wear leather anything... cant say shes too happy about my sudden infatuation with leather shoes. But to her defense, she did just buy me a lovely victorinox alliance chrono for no reason (not yet apparent anyway).

She is really getting into the boot thing. Just the other day she said she wants a pair of burgundy shell boots next....ugh.

So, what is Mrs. Tif's favorite model? (If you don't mind me asking of course)

Watch, she has a walnut calf Bayfield (perf. captoe boot) and a brown grain Eagle Country boot. I think her favorite is the Eagle Country, but she gets all kinds of compliments on the walnut Bayfield.

I've seen the same at my local AE store.
I wish this was the case. My wife likes clogs, which I find to be a bit of a downer. Lord knows I've tried to sway her from them. Fortunately, pretty much everything else about her is wonderful.

I just placed an order for two pair of Indy's from TSM. I wear 9.5 EEE. I ordered the natural chromexcel and Color 8 Cordovan. I was told 6 months to a year until they arrive. I'm hoping they arrive early! I have a pair of used 10.5E indy's chromexcel on eBay if anyone is interested. Has anyone ever received their shoes from TSM early?? lol

This last batch of ravello NST was supposed to arrive on the fat side of 4-6 months...

I placed the order in mid October and got the boots 2 weeks ago...

And, I must say I was not quite prepared...

I agree. Those Ravellos have come out great. The newer Ravellos have been much better than Brownvellos from 2013.
Alden does put their own (probably acrylic) finish on their shoes. However, Ravello is a color fanned by Horween and it is based Upon an agreement between Alden and Horween to make them Alden specific. Similar to Allen Edmonds and Walnut Shell. Horween makes a similar color called Cognac.

2013 Brownvellos, mine are shaded a bit differently, these are keepers! (+a future generation will cherish this rare Brownvello and they will sell for major shekles)

Just received a pair of 975s from J Crew, and the eyes are misaligned. I know this is an issue, but is this too much that I should send them back? Will it get worse with break in?

^ Those 975s look all kinds of wrong. Maybe it's the angle but various things look off in addition to eyelets, which look bad. Sorry.

Whiskey Wednesday. Alden did a great job on the straps on these, every angle shows them as a different shade. When I look straight down at them they look almost the same shade as the rest of the shoe.
