Is that heel foxing stitches or actual sewn overlapping heel stay? Blind eyelets look killer on this boot!Cigar straight tips glistening in the sun!
Truly special.Today’s gear screamed of black shell. So of course I went with the chameleon’s, OB. Never seen footwear whose color is so impacted by lighting………

Have a great day Gang!
I left the matchy matchy thing behind quite some time ago. I just go with it. So dark brown calf and dark brown cordovan as well as black calf I also wear gold and silver metal hardware on accessories and it does not bother me. One of the most overrated "menswear rules" in my mindWhat kinds of belts do you all like to wear with color 8 shell shoes (other than a matching color 8 shell belt)?
black or brown belt - it doesn't matterWhat kinds of belts do you all like to wear with color 8 shell shoes (other than a matching color 8 shell belt)?

Quite an interesting delivery landed yesterday...while inspecting these Grant Last NST boots, it dawned on me that something was different between the two shoes, but I couldn't figure it out! Then it dawned on me! The welt!

The right boot has a 360 reverse welt

But the left boot has a 360 flat welt

Already reached out to the retailer and they were in shock! Even they didn't catch that before shipping out to me. A return shipping label is already in my inbox and a very interesting question now stands...should I make these both flat welt (as the retailer intended) or have Alden add a reverse welt to match the other?
We're also asking Alden which procedure is less intensive/intrusive: to add a reverse welt, or remove a reverse welt. Either way, a very interesting turn of events and curious which you would choose given this opportunity?
This is crazy! I would definitely just ask for a fresh pair versus taking the risk with changes to the welt, which I personally think carries one of the highest risk in terms of alterations to a shoe.Wouldn't it be even less intrusive if they just got you a new pair?
