I took a picture this AM in early morning light, comparing my alpine brown rare calf (LOL) to a picture posted recently of Ravello LHS that I really liked...I think they are very close. (Ravello shell on the right)....

Can we squeeze you into D width or stretch these out?

Even though I live in California, I'm a huge lifelong Knicks fan..I buy the NBA package each year and have suffered with the team - so I love the JB reference. When I was a kid, I saw several pictures of Walt Frazier and fell in love with his clothes and the way he uses color and various types of material. I could never pull off the suits he wears, I'm just not cool enough, but he's someone I've always admired for his presence on/off the court.

Then you certainly don’t need me to remind you of one of the two greatest individual performances of all time, Clyde in the May, 1970 game 7 final against the Lakers. Willis gets all the attention because he played on one leg for 5 minutes but a guard, in 1970, scoring 36, dropping 9 dimes and grabbing 5 steals. Man, I can restate those stats like it was yesterday…………

For me, the perfect fit is a 10.5 EEE Barrie, so I squeeze into Van 11 E - these wouldn’t work. They would just be too tight, but I sure appreciate you bringing that to my attention. I have a saved search in eBay for Alden Ravello, and for some reason these didn’t show up. I’m gonna have to go and look and see why my search didn’t work. I look at it just about every day.

Him and Mike Breen have talked about that game over and over for many years - I’m pretty excited about the team right now and optimistic. Hopefully this new shuffled lineup gets us to at least the ECF.

This is my rain, inclement weather Alden #8 shell: Basically a straight tip in a short boot with exposed eyelets and commando sole. Never gets water spots. Suns out here, but it got rainy when I went home.

I would classify Ravello as a medium brown that has rich caramel tones to it. Not as much red in it like Color 4, but I would say the photo is representative of the recent Ravello make-ups being produced. I may have a lead for you if you're looking for Ravello LHS. Send me a DM!

Has anyone here experience with darkening the color8 into a more eggplant color? I had some good success with the wax from Alden, but I guess after doing two light coatings and not wearing the shoe every single day or even every two days I do not want to overfeed it. Any suggestions (even tho most of you enjoy the fading and bordeaux tone of color8...)? Thanks!
