Can anyone recommend a source for 48" flat or round boot laces, medium width? Dark brown preferred.

AE used to make such a thing, but their 48" flat and round boot laces have gotten enormously wide recently, just too much for Alden eyelets. AE seems to use a larger diameter eyelet.

GG's rounds are also just a bit too fat for my Aldens. And the 54" medium flats are just too dang long, even for my size 13 feet!

The AE round 48" boot laces are good. The thin ones instead of the thick ones. They used to have just one option which I thought is now thick but I was wrong. Just sent some back recently and ordered thin.

GG also has thin round laces dark brown. Can't recall if there is length options 48 in addition to 54

Funny, but I have found decent round laces at Walmart in the "shoe care" section. Don't remember the brand, but they were boot laces, have lasted a long time and were dirt cheap.

I wear these in my 405s. Had a pair of Red Wings years ago before coming to Alden. These are oddly amazing laces.

Red wing laces are GOOD work boot laces, and 405's are work boots, so........
