You should all check this out. It aired last night and the second part will air tomorrow. There are reruns on tomorrow night as well. If I can afford DVR, I assume most of you can, so check it out.

Basically, it is the story of two chefs, both sous chefs at EMP ( :inlove: gomey) as they spend the year winning the Bocuse D'or USA competition and then subsequently training for the international Bocuse d'Or. I'm only partway through the first episode, but it is very promising and represents a nice change from the typical cooking show---- either aimed at housewives (rachel ray) or more about the drama than the cooking (top chef). This is super interesting and has been fun to watch. I'd suggest you record it!

Edit: Technically it's already "tomorrow" in the USA, so what I mean is that it originally aired on the day before Skanksgiving with part two airing on Thanksgiving.

Thanks for the heads up, just set the DVR.

I don't think I've ever even heard of the Bio network. I'm pretty sure I don't get it at home (am traveling now so can't check) but will watch this show if I do.

I imagine you get it. It's one of those 80 channels that they give to everybody and that nobody ever watches

This was a really great show, though. It was fun to watch those guys train for a year.

my mother called me at work today, which usually means somebody died or is in the hospital, but instead it was to tell me all about how awesome this show is and how she's DVR'ing it for me to watch during Christmas. She recognized people from the Ad Hoc book that I bought her and that was, apparently, an exciting moment. And when asked which Keller books I didn't have I said "Bouchon" and she went "ok, got it, thanks" which is code for a Christmas gift. So yeah, very interested in seeing this program.
