Haven't given the Sullivan Street boots a run in a long time. It shows. Need to get these cleaned up a bit before the next wear. Great, super-underrated offering that was culled from the AE herd too soon.

Denim HM with Guarded Goods round lace swap. Not a perfect match, but I'm loving the contrasting laces on these! Also noticing the creases/rolls in the shell are producing a lighter/fatigued look across the vamp, which I'm particularly enjoying! Can't wait to wear these more!

Haven't slapped on the oxblood SMU Daltons in a while. WTW seemed like a good enough reason to do so.

That pair looks so clean and tidy that it reminds of a pair of Grant Stone boots.

I wanted comfort today, so I went with the Badlands.

When AE launched the Custom Shoe Shop on their website, I thought my first foray turned out rather well:

After they added additional models to the custom options I was per-sueded to roll the dice again, this time with specs in colors I had never seen IRL (tobacco and polo brown). The resulting pair arrived today:

So far, they’re 2 for 2 in my book. (Note: without direct sunlight, the Polo brown looks much darker than snuff, it's closer to the chocolate suede of years past).

The 3D visualizer tool on their site is fantastic—you can play shoe designer to your heart’s content without spending a penny.

I realize the custom models are still limited and pricier than stock makeups, with no sale discounts. Still, given they’re offering so many of the customization options that we’ve been clamoring for over the years, I’m surprised to see so few posted here.

AE are still in a low-key soft launch with this initiative, but I doubt they’ll add more models unless they get some custom-ers. Weasels, that's your cue...

As noted in my preceding post, the two new colors I chose for my MTO Macallisters look very different depending on lighting. Outside of direct sunlight, Polo brown is closer to AE's old chocolate suede when not in direct sun, while tobacco is a bit darker than bone and leans cooler-toned with a hint of grey. Here's a photo pretty representative of how they look in non-sun lighting:

No new shoes but I do have some nice shots of buildings. View attachment 2177991
Plaza Tapatía!

Just curious, do you ever visit Temple Mayor? I saw some old pictures from the 1980s of that location and thought it looked interesting.

Just Leeds 2.0 for me today.

No, we have enough to do in our little city of Guadalajara. I have sent my wife there as she has more time for vacations.
