Thanks! I'm still learning to judge proportions.

Alas, I don't have a photo taken from a different angle but I do have a shot of the back. There's definitely enough fabric to lengthen the sleeves, but my concern is the jacket is about an inch too short (and the button stance perhaps a bit too high).

I just tried on this Ring Jacket suit (size 42) at The Armoury. Obviously the sleeves would need to be lengthened, but does the jacket seem too short?

You are seriously asking the forum about fit when you just visited the Armoury?

WHAT DID THE GUYS THERE SAY?

My personal experience is that they are honest and would not sell you stuff that don't fit.

Jacket doesn't look too short given the current trend of short
close-fitting jackets. I would prefer it a bit longer, but then I do not
subscribe to the current trend.

Khaki's of Carmel said they will be having a trunk show in San Francisco in late September of both RTW and MTO suits and jackets. They will have fabric swatches from Ring as well as Loro Piana, Holland & Sherry, Zegna, and others. The sales manager from Ring will be there to do the measuring along with staff from the Carmel store. A perfect time to check out Ring in the Bay Area.

You would have to call Jim the owner of Khakis and ask about pricing. He did say that Ring fabrics are the best value. But if you want something a bit more traditional you might go with one of the other fabric options. Those prices will vary depending upon the swatch you select.

Many of the Ring fabrics have a bit more of an open weave especially for Spring and Summer.

He also mentioned that they will have both Fall/WInter and Spring/Summer fabric books. Turn around time is something like 8 weeks.

I hope the trunk show features more interesting fabrics than the trendy stuff that they were showing in their store
when I was down for the Concours a couple of weeks ago.

^^^ Zegna, Holland & Sherry or Loro Piana books will offer numerous classic fabrics to choose from. This is a MTM event after all so you get what you want.

I ordered online and had a great experience. Suit arrived quickly and is very nice, fits extremely well. Just needs a bit of tailoring for the sleeves.

Which online store did you order it from if you don't mind me asking
