I am terribly sorry but I must point out that I have never advocated black suits for daywear. I simply do not feel like letting someone who doesnt like black suits for daywear tell me it's a rule as a way to get someone to do as theyd like. Additionally, the black suit is both here and accepted whether we like it or not. It is interesting that we discuss this vague color difference as if it's dogma, an exercise that i enjoy.

None of my investigations into black suit wearing have been strident because I have never considered it a reflection on my authority or "expertise". I picked an approximate age when wearing a black suit may have been frowned upon, similarly to when 60 yr old victorians might have sneared at 30 year old bright young things for wearing a lounge suit. When I discuss the black suit, I try to consider is position in society's perception at large, irrespective of how I might feel about it. You are doubtless confusing me with a subjective and defensive crowd who need to edit other's opinions so as not to feel challenged.

It's a little broader than that but yes they can be if dojne right. true with anything though
