Could use some advice on the fit here. I want a more classic/comfortable fit but still want a shirt that fits well. This is the first shirt I ordered and I had a remake where they recommended neck forward and chest forward, but the neck forward threw off the whole shirt and bunched up behind my neck. I’m thinking about reducing shoulders by .8 inches and doing the raises shoulder adjustment as I have pretty square shoulders. Supposedly that will help the lines from my shoulder to the second button? Any tips would be appreciated

@Seph , any chance that the dark brown linen suit fabric will be back in stock anytime soon? For some time now, only the tabacco linen has been available on the site

I'm not sure exactly but there will certainly be a lot of linen coming back and new linen launching in February and March.

I would be grateful for any further advice on how to tweak these for a remake.
I would take the pants to a tailor and see what s/he suggests.

Got my first PC suit after buying their shirts for a while. I'm curious what people think of the result. This is after a fitting in the NYC showroom.

Tha pants I'm pretty happy with, theyre slightly too long but that's an easy fix. I was aiming for something a little higher rise but it's acceptable.

The jacket is a bit iffier. The top half I'm happy with, I think the shoulder and arms fit great. But I'm not sure how it looks like there is too much fabric in the midsection in the front, yet it's pulling in the back (could it be because I didn't cut the vents? I didn't want to do that if there was a chance I'd be taking it back in).

That’s the first thing I thought, tied vents, as to why it wasn’t laying correct. It’s just temp thread so if you took it back I hardly think that would matter. I can’t say for sure that will resolve all the issues as I have never owned a side vented jacket. I’ve never seen that much pull with a center vent still threaded but that might not mean anything. Did you personally adjust the waist/hip dimensions inward or was that taken from a standard size based on your neck/height/weight? I’ve never purchased anything but shirts and I know adjustments in one area often trigger slight adjustments in another.

definetily open the vents, that will resolve a lot. i would also take in the midsection by a bit, but that's down to preference, having it a bit roomier as it is right now works well, too.

however, the back on this jacket will never drape cleanly for you. the way the fabric gathers and creates that slight bulge above your right hip is due to the fact that you have a slightly dropped right shoulder - and proper cloth's mtm settings can't account for such imbalances. it's also the reason the right side of your chest looks a bit more "sunken" than the left.

I’m looking to rebuild my business casual shirt wardrobe. Coincidentally, I’m visiting NYC later this month so looking to pop into Proper Cloth and Kamakura for in-person measurements. Should I favor the Manhattan vs SoHo showroom with PC?

They're both nice. I had a good experience at the East Side location. If there's a particular fabric you want to check out, maybe ask to see if they have a sample in stock at a particular location.

Kamakura has pretty limited dates available, btw, so you may want to lock that down. The location also isn't too far from Proper Cloth's East Side location if you want to knock out both visits around the same time.
