As colder days approach, we are pleased to present six new trousers in our most popular model, featuring single pleats and side adjusters. In response to demand, the size range has been extended to include sizes 44 and 56, broadening the accessibility of our tailored offerings.

British Flannel
Huddersfield, historically known for its wool flannel, is where our flannel is woven by one of England's oldest mills. The fabric is finished using the London Shrunk method, a process dating back to the 18th century. Originally reserved for worsted fabrics, this three-step technique—dampening, drying, and pressing—pre-shrinks the cloth, eliminating tension and restoring its natural shape. The result is a fabric with an optimal drape and a soft, luxurious hand feel.

British Cavalry Twill
Our cavalry twill is woven in Yorkshire, England, by a family-run mill specialising in worsted fabrics. With deep roots in British military history, the fabric was originally used for the riding trousers of cavalry officers—hence its name. While smooth to the touch, its distinctive double twill weave creates a subtle yet elegant texture. Renowned for its durability and natural stretch, cavalry twill is hardwearing yet comfortable, making it ideal for tailored garments such as trousers and suits.

Besnard - 20241016 - 4.jpg

Hello everyone,

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our first drop from the Fall/Winter tailoring collection, featuring two new sport coats. They’re crafted from medium-weight Shetland and Donegal tweeds—perfect for the season, offering warmth without being too heavy.

We find a brown tweed sport coat to be a particularly versatile choice, pairing effortlessly with a range of trousers—from light grey and charcoal flannel to grey cavalry twill, and even denim for a more relaxed look.

Donegal tweed, characterised by its distinctive flecks of colour, offers more texture than a solid-coloured sport coat. The subtle blend of coloured yarns in this light brown Donegal sport coat makes it especially easy to pair. We think it works well with charcoal or dark brown flannel trousers and tan cavalry twill.

Feel free to explore the new collection here.

What kind of seam allowance is there on the jackets? I recall there being little in the trousers.

Will there be any RTW double pleat/belted trousers this season?

For the jackets, there’s some seam allowance, though not a great deal. There’s about 2 cm in the centre back seam and roughly 1 cm in the side seams, allowing for around 4 cm in total if let out.

For the trousers, the seam allowance is quite generous: about 5 cm at the waist, gradually less down towards the hip, and about 3 cm down the leg from thigh to opening. This means you could increase the half-thigh and half-leg opening measurements by as much as 1.5 cm.

This wasn’t always the case; with our earlier trouser collections, there was less seam allowance. But for the past 1.5 years, we’ve ensured a more generous allowance on all our trousers.

Just squeaking in as a viable option for me, with tailoring.

No double-pleated trousers with belt loops in this autumn/winter collection, unfortunately. However, all new fabrics will soon be available for made-to-order trousers, where you can fully customise the fit and details. I hope this may be of interest.

Hi Viktor,

Can you already say whether the crewneck knitwear will be restocked? If so, are they soft enough to be worn over just a T-shirt, or is the scratchiness more like a classic Shetland jumper?

Thanks
A little later than expected, but our crew neck sweaters are finally restocked and available in eight colours

Our full range of fall-winter trouser fabrics is now available as made-to-order online and made-to-measure in-store. Our online made-to-order option serves as a simplified counterpart to the in-store made-to-measure service. Beyond choosing a tapered, classic, or wide leg, we can adjust patterns to suit your specific preferences. If you have a particular request, such as altering the rise, simply reach out—many customisations are possible.

They look great Victor! The description says the cut has changed. Can you say how much shorter they are this season?
Thanks! Yes, we made a few small tweaks to the cut—about an inch shorter in the back and an inch longer in the sleeves compared to last year. It’s a subtle change, but we think the shorter body improves the silhouette, and the longer sleeves give you a bit more to play around with on the turnback cuff.

Hi @VictorBesnard, reposting here as you might not have seen my DM.

Wondering if you have any of the summer navy hopsack jacket material left, as I’d like to make a pair of pants to go with my sport coat?

Just curious, do you guys ever do any sales?

We rarely have a sale, and when we do, it’s typically for end-of-season items with limited stock that won’t be restocked. More and more, we are focusing on building a permanent collection, including items like our flannel, cavalry twill, cotton drill, and Irish linen trousers, all of which will be regularly restocked.

However, as we build this permanent collection, we’ll offer a small Black Friday discount and an archive sale at the end of the season. Although timed with Black Friday, our main reason is to raise funds and make space as we prepare to move to a new location in the new year.
