I’m puzzled by the color difference. Am I crazy, or do these look like two different leathers? I ordered both in 1964 Medium Brown (Urban Logger and Urban Drifter).

The lighter pair have been worn 5-10x more, so it’s not a case of darkening with wear. Both are freshly cleaned and very lightly conditioned with Sapphir Renovateur, so it’s not a case of oiled vs dry.

That’s interesting. We do get some variations in hides/loads. When did these ship?

Someone said that it looks a lot like the old Chocolate leather. And they pointed out that I ordered them right at the very start of 1964 Med Brown being offered, so maybe I accidentally received a leftover batch of Chocolate (or even a leftover boot that was already made).

Is that possible?

I don't understand the logic behind selling these as seconds instead of rebuilding tbh. They are never gonna feel right to walk in.

For the 'lace up - build your own' option, is it possible to select a #2 toe? Interested in previous Charley configs, like the below: 1720273266968.png 5 inch, #2 toe. If it's possible, what is the process - add a note to the build or something else? Thanks!

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
