Bought a pair of Tellmans yesterday. They are now in the process of being polished and such.

They seem to be decent shoes though I was very unhappy the EGs weren't on sale. The salesman the the Chicago store had to show me that the last pair of Mackeys in the store were in my size

Ralph's use of the (337?) last in a D width on the Tellmans, double monks, and three eyelet derby are among my favorites with regards to comfort and style. I have a low instep, so I dont get a lot of wrinkling in the vamp. I only wish he offered a single monkstrap and/or wingtip in a dark brown...

Yeah, I ordered the Darlton wingtips and got my confirmation e-mail thanking me for my order.

1/2 hour later I got another regretting to inform me that my order would not be filled after all as they were out of my size.

I smell a class action suit; I mean one need only read how nuts we are and how seriously we take this stuff to prove damages.

FYI, ordering by phone usually gets you first dibs on stuff if something's in stock, as their customer service reps have real time inventory access, as well as the ability to get stuff directly from stores for you. That's been my experience anyways.

Pick up at the delivery warehouse is indeed a major hassle. I also split orders for home delivery or have things delivered to the office, which creates another set of issues.
