They're finally starting to expand back into their full inventory from before the website reboot. I grabbed a pair of snuff suede quarter-brogues (vanished after the reboot) and a pair of copper tassel loafers on the Ron last (which had been back for a while). Bonus pic of new suede:

In the interest of expanding the knowledge pool on sizing, I'll note that I'm around a 10D Brannock (depending on the day/time/did I run earlier/whatever). My last order I went with a 9 Hiro for a pair of oxfords and a pair of double monks. They're a bit too short, which made breakin an absolute bear. I've started just wearing my slipperiest socks with them, which solves 90% of the problem and I'm perfectly happy living with. This order I went with a 9.5 in both the Hiro and Ron lasts. Wayyyy better.

I'll throw an additional wrench into this by noting that my AE 5 last shoes are in 9EE. In short, dress shoe sizing is the Cryptonomicon and everyone is screwed.

Love,

Hi guys, long time lurker here. So far I am very happy with my 5 pairs from Meermin altough I noticed that since the homepage change the VAT is not substractes for non EU orders? Have they silently increased the prices? Anyone else noticed this? Thank you!

I paid $385 for 2 pairs shipped to US before the website changeover, and the same for 2 pairs shipped to the US after. It's always showed the same price for me. *shrug*

Hoping for some advice here.

I typically wear Allen Edmond's Park Aves in US9.5D, but turns out I'm closer to 9.5C. The 9.5Ds is just slightly too wide, especially in the heel causing slight slippage. I also have Meermin's Hiro and Eltons in UK8.5, which fits similar to the AE9.5D, slightly wide with some heel slippage. Is it better to size down 0.5 or will that end up being too tight?

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and interested in a pair of Meermin double monks (Elton last). The shoes I usually wear are marked 11US and 45EU (mainly sneakers or a local brand of goodyear shoes in Morocco called Benson).

I have a pair of Barker Orkney shoes on their 464 last that size 10.5UK and they feel a bit long.

Do you think the 10UK size on Meermin would be OK?
