Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Unfortunately, I can't get used to my new Meermins. If anyone is interested in a pair of size 7.5UK black Meermin Adelaides on the Elton last that have been used once, please pm me

Are these properly fitting, but too uncomfortable/stiff when walking?

What I did was apply a minimal amount of Saphir Delicate Cream, and wear them outside on a hot day. The leather conditioner, the heat, and the walking around combined made the shoe much more supple.

I wear 8.5 Hiro, I can fit into an 8 Rui but it is tight. Heel on Rui is tighter than Hiro while toebox is more roomy. Also I feel that Heel to Ball measurement 8.5 Hiro = 8 Rui.
This is with my foot, and I have to wear thin socks in Rui, so I'm sure a 8.5 will fit you maybe with thicker socks.

Since these will be my first shell shoes. How much if any will it stretch?

I managed to cop the MTO shell LWB and crossing my fingers that I got the right size (8.5) on the Rui last. Almost no time to debate since I could see the MTO was finishing fast. My Meermin sizing is limited to 8.5 in Hiro which I tried in store. There will be a shell LWB up for sale in September and sizing is off for me.

You can still email Meermin to change the size if you're sure I guess since it just finished.

How is the Rui length compared to Hiro? I know that Hiro size 8 fits length wise but a little bit tight on the width for me.

I am extremely happy that Meermin exists. My last 5 pairs are come from them. Good quality at a great price, just as I like it. crockett & jones is too expensive for me, and I don't see the point in paying x2 for very similar quality.

Took some pictures, I hope they help. I would say that Hiro size 8.5 is same width as Rui size 8. While Rui 8 is a bit shorter than Hiro 8.5 but then again also less tapered at the toe.

After first (Short) wear out with my new Cigar Hiro short wings they seem to be splitting in the heel. Is this an issue? Is it something where I should return them to Meermin or can a cobbler fix it?

Does anyone know how the Hiro Last compares to the Ron last meermin loafers come in?
I find Ron in an 8 is pretty much perfect. Should I go for an 8.5 in the Hiro?

Agreed. It is usually not necessary to fix this. Had it on shoes from various well-known and even high-end brands. Nobody will notice and typically this should not cause any problems in the longer term.

Hi everyone, I have the typical questions about sizing. I have a pair of Olfe lasts in a 9.5 UK. they feel a bit long, width is just about right though, maybe just a touch too wide. Here are some pics:





I'd like to get a piar of Meermin's classic bluchers in a 9 UK next. I'm pretty torn on which style I'd prefer, so I will probably go with whichever last makes most sense for me. Do you think I'd be better off sizing down with the Hiro or Rui last?
