Looks like the Museum Plum Calf is in the Olfe last.

How does the OLFE last in comparison to the AE 5-Last?

Which last is roomier/narrower?

The greatest concern with these types of orders stem from the lack of options to return due to the expensive international shipping and the headache to request refund for duty fees.

The Colthams look very similar with slightly darker color perhaps.

I must admit I didn't get the "wow" feeling opening the box, but I would definitely have kept them if the fit was right.

The sole looks pretty weird, but I wouldn't care about that.
Coltham's sole is terrible. After a while the rubber part will rip apart from the rest of the leather sole.

Hey all - I'm about to pull the trigger on my first pair of Meermins -- the Linea Maestro 10172 but want to confirm sizing since I know returns are expensive from the US. Unfortunately I was unaware of the trunk show in Manhattan last week.

Luisa from Meermin recommended I go with the 10172 in a 9UK. I am a measured 9.5D (actually measured slightly between a 9.5/10). I know the AE Rutledge's (333 last) in a 9.5D fit me well.

Does anyone have any insight as to whether I will be ok with the width of the new rey last in a 9UK? Is there any last from a different maker I should try on try to confirm I won't have issues with the new rey (there is a C&J close to my office)?

Damn, that was fast! I ordered on 15 Feb literally minutes after meermin posted still no request for payment! But I dont mind. I have taken delivery of C&J Harlech dark brown cordovan boots and will be taking delivery of Alden plaza cap-toe boots today. Can't wait to break them in! I purchased first Meermin 9 months ago. Since then I have purchased C&J, Carmina, Alden and AEs. With exception of Alden 975, Meermin classic line captoe are my most favorite shoes. Meermin Hiro lasts just fits me very well. I just wish Meermin used Horween shell cordovan.

Haha, damn. What's the total damage for all those pairs? I hope you had some sort of discount.

Quote: Around 800 for C&J and 700 for Alden. There are not many discounts to be had in shell cordovan but shell corodvan is totally worth it. Availability of shell is scarce, at least in rare colors, so you have to buy at full price (& that itself has increased 35-70 dollars last month). I had to wait around 6 months for Alden boot. Still trying to find Alden whiskey, ravello and cigar shoes in my size and had no luck since 2 months.

If you are actually a D width you should not be getting the New Ray. It is an B width Last. New ray is also the least forgiving of all Meermin's lasts(except vil). Low instep. Super Slim Profile.

Hiro/Olfe are both C-ish/D width lasts
