Don’t know if anyone else has had similar experience lately, but for the first time today when I won a Spoo auction it said “You won! Automatic checkout is set for _____(item)” and set a timer to autopay in 1 hour. Nothing I could do in my own settings to change it. From some googling it seems like something the Bay started testing and rolling out automatically maybe last year on the seller end I think, but I only now started getting hit with it (I’ve never not paid before or canceled a purchase etc). That means for items that end more than an hour it auto charges additional shipping every time without an option to request combining if you buy multiple things.

Not trying to stir anything up or take for granted the perks Spoo has given us in the past. Just trying to figure out if this is truly something on the seller end or buyer end, or if anyone else is noticing this.

I do like my new tie though :slayer:
This just happened to me as well. It is clearly an issue on the seller side, but I think sellers aren't realizing it and think its a buyer issue: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selli...for-sellers-who-want-to-combine/td-p/33932537

Extremely frustrating interaction with Luxeswap eBay page who just kept telling me it was an issue on my end despite talking to 3 different eBay support people who told me otherwise. I understand if they can't go back in time and fix it going back on my auction wins, but it's clearly a setting they can adjust on their end and are flat out refusing. Extremely frustrating to pay $57 in shipping costs for five ties all from the same seller.

You will have to check out all items simultaneously and ask for the combined shipping via the note to seller option before you checkout. They will refund the additional shipping costs. If you let the clock run down, and request a refund once the payment processes, they can't do anything (or they won't). Best thing you can do then is to cancel your order if they haven't shipped it out yet.

No, this doesn't work anymore for auction winners. eBay requires most accounts now to select autopay when you bid and then once the bid closes you have an hour to change payment or it just autopays for you. Sellers are unable to combine shipping costs for purchases on AutoPay.

It's my fault for not noticing it when I was bidding, but incredibly frustrating interaction with the Luxeswap eBay account just repeatedly telling me it was an issue on my end no matter how much evidence I gave them that it wasn't.

It just worked for me. And yes I have been subject to the same autopay process. You just have to beat the 1 hour clock and checkout manually next time if you are still interested in purchasing.

However, I do understand your frustration with the eBay account responses. They do seem to be automated responses as I have been getting the same responses word per word across different weeks when I message LuxeSwap directly.

Thanks - appreciate the insight, I'll try it next time. Like I said, I should've caught it. Just was really aghast at the responses I was getting. Honestly, even with paying extra for shipping, still pretty good deals for the quality I was getting so I'm not too mad.

Someone definitely got some good deal on Ring Jacket Armoury Model 15, if you got EU44 and decided against let me know!

Edit this one

I got the gray glen plaid linen RJ suit a few weeks ago and the stone linen version tonight. Both in 54.Told myself I was slowing down on tailoring but couldn’t pass these up.

I paid $1800 (+$100 for sleeve buttons) for this exact garment in the exact same size in 2023 lol, it'd be funny if this ended up selling for 10% what I paid then.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
